Obituary of Doris M. Pike

Doris M. Pike, 78, of 5500 Button Valley Road Ashville, died at 6:40 a.m. Saturday (January 8, 2011) in Corry Manor. She was born September 13, 1932 in Warren, PA the daughter of the late Thomas and Olivia Smith Watson. Doris was a graduate of Youngsville High School and prior to retirement, worked for 20 years at Fairbank Farms. Previously she worked at Bison Foods in Buffalo. She was a member of Niobe Baptist Church where she was active with Bible School, Sunday School, and the Ladies Missionary Society. For many years, she was a member and treasurer of TOPS. Doris enjoyed gardening, canning, and keeping herself busy. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Levere C. Pike Jr.; four sons, Levere C. Pike III of Kiantone; Randall A. Pike of Niobe; Brian L. Pike of Tidioute, PA; Jon R. Pike of New Orleans, LA; a daughter, Joni R. Eades of Rochester, NY; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Watson of Ashville, NY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joann. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to the Niobe Baptist Church, 255 Church St. Panama, NY 14767.
