Dad, thank you for everything you taught me and did for me. You are truly a special man. I will miss our trips to the lake, looking up in the stands at my football games and seeing you root my team on, and the comfort of your voice when I call to talk to you. I will do my best to take care of mom and hope I am as good a father to Ava and Ayden as you were to me.

Wonderful times with Jim and Eleanor. They were guests at our wedding at Immanuel, and they were also good friends. Jim was part of the Brasscals-the brass quintet John played trumpet in, and the group always enjoyed being together and making music. We were in choir together at Immanuel, and enjoyed get togethers at each other's house. Jim will be missed very much by all who knew him. We were lucky to have had him in our lives. He was a special man. God Bless you, Jim-rest in peace.

As children, my brother David and I always loved our trips to Jamestown to visit our grandparents and Uncle Jim and Aunt Eleanor. As children, we appreciated how much fun Uncle Jim was and what a good sense of humor he had. As an adult I came to realize what a fine person he was - as reflected in all these comments. After my father died, I also realized how similar Uncle Jim was to him. Having Uncle Jim at our daughter's wedding made it almost seem like my dad was there. I am saddened by his passing and sorry that distance and weather prevents me from being there now. Much love and sympathy to Aunt Eleanor and my cousins Bob and Paul and all the family.

Jim was a quiet, dependable member of Immanuel's Senior Men group. We depended on him to count the light bulbs needing replacement, which he always did accurately. He seemed to know what was going on and made useful suggestions.

It was indeed a blessing to know Jim over many years. Even in his declining health he maintained a deep faith in God and a heart of kindness to all. I was privileged to serve him as chaplain of Heritage Park. Our prayers for God's comfort to Eleanor and her family. We will rejoice when we see him again in heaven.

I know everyone who ever dealt with Jim will miss hime dearly. I worked with Jim in the accounting department at MRC in the late 60's and 70's. I always enjoyed his friendship and sense of humor.

It has been my privilege as a member past member of Musicians Local 134 board of directors to work with Jim. Besides being a dedicated and efficient officer, dealing with our finances, he was at all times a gentleman to all with whom he came in contact. He will be greatly missed.
