Obituary of Doris E. Canada

Doris E. Canada, 79, formerly of 152 Chandler St Jamestown, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday (January 16, 2011) with her son George and his wife Susan by her side in the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born March 18, 1931 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Raymond L. Chapman and Elma Mosher Chapman Osberg. Doris had been employed at WCA Hospital, Moon Brook Country Club, and the former Jamestown General Hospital. She enjoyed Bingo, fishing, listening to and watching the Grand Ole Opry, picnics and gatherings. Doris adored her grandchildren. Surviving are three sons, Marvin E. Canada; George L. (Susan) Canada; Cleveland (Heidi) Canada, all of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Burleigh of Youngsville, PA. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Canada; a son, Bradley J. Canada; and two brothers, Arthur Chapman, and Lawrence Chapman. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald A. Haglund, Heritage Group Chaplain will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
