CLAYTON AND CHERYL,
WE HAVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN AND I AM JUST LEARNING OF YOU MOM'S PASSING.
JANET WAS A WONDERFUL TEACHER AND FRIEND AND I ENJOYED WORKING ALL THOSE YEARS WITH HER AT FLETCHER SCHOOL.
OF COURSE, CLAYTON, WE GO BACK MANY YEARS BEFORE THAT WHEN YOU WERE A FOURTH GRADE STUDENT OF MINE. YOUR MOM WAS SUCH A GREAT ROLE MODEL.
MY DEEPEST SUMPATHY TO YOU BOTH. SHE AND YOUR DAD WERE SO PROUD OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.

Clayton and Cheryl,
We have been out of town and our daughter let us know about your mom's passing. Janet and I taught together at Fletcher School for over 20 years, many of them in the same double classroom. We got along so well and often finished each other's sentences!! She was a wonderful teacher and friend. I have fond memories of you two as young children coming to see your mom at school. She was so proud of you both. I am so saddened by your loss and send you my deepest sympathies. It is so hard to lose a beloved parent. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

I was another one of her kindergarten students at Charles St. school. I do remember Cheryl being in class with us one day and then later becoming friends with her in middle school. I don't remember much about kindergarten but I have been able to see her quite often and always tried to make sure I got to say HI to her. And almost always tell her to tell you Cheryl I said HELLO. I have never forgotten how back in January 1981{when my mom passed} when we were in MR Thomas's class and you had said your condolances to me and so did Michelle Triscari and I broke down and you walked me to the nurses office. Can you believe it was 30 years ago?? always be thankful for the time you did have together. I will miss you Mrs. Berlinghoff...after all you were my very first teacher!!

Although we are far apart in miles, our hearts can be with you as you walk this path. We pray that memories of Mom & sister will strengthen you and knowing she is with the Lord she loved and served will encourage you and lift your spirits.

Janet was the wife of my cousin Clayton. Together they were like my brother and sister. We shared many good times and mostly we laughed at every get together. I'll always remember their wedding in Jamestown. In the middle of the ceremony a very loud and unexpected strike of lightning struck nearby. The clap of thunder startled everyone. We often joked that their marriage started off with a bang!! My best to Clayt III, Cheryl and families

I loved going to the Berlinghoff home. Cheryl and I always had a great time and was always teasing her mom and dad about pulling up the vegetables from their always beautiful garden. Mr. and Mrs. B. would always give us the dickens that we better not pull their vegetables. I was always welcome in their home. I have fond memories of Mrs. B and hope she is at peace with Mr. B. in heaven.

Thank you for the Living Christmas Tree. God picked you as his child to bring this wonderful music and message to the Jamestown Community. This ministry has has positivly influenced many. Family traditions have been started and continued through the years as well as a reminder of just what Christmas is really about, are only two of the rewards many have taken with them each year .
