Obituary of Jane Ellen Garvey

Jane Ellen Garvey, 64, of 84 South Main St. Ext. Jamestown, NY passed away on Friday (January 28, 2011) in Buffalo, NY. A Jamestown area resident for most of her life she was born December 10, 1946 in Dobbs Ferry, NY a daughter of the late Emil Henry and Helen Julianne Straka Kocur. She was a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia and prior to her retirement was an elementary school teacher for the Frewsburg Central School System for several years. She was also an accomplished artist. Surviving are her husband Robert E. Garvey, a step-daughter Susan L. McChesney of Erie, PA, 3 step-grandchildren, John McChesney of Jamestown, Katie Gallagher of Erie, PA, Kyle McChesney of Fort Benning, GA, 3 step-great grandchildren and a sister Barbara Lizardi of Melbourne, FL. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
