Obituary of Virginia M. Steinhauser
Virginia M. Steinhauser, 80, of 290 Hallock Street, went to be with the Lord Sunday January 30, 2011, in WCA Hospital.
She was born March 25, 1930, in Bock, MN, the daughter of the late Dan and Mabel Lovaas.
She graduated from Mora High School in 1948 and Bethel College in 1954.
Up until the time of her death she worked at the Union Gospel Mission for nearly 40 years serving as secretary and playing organ for services and weekly radio program. Prior to moving to Jamestown she was employed by Ramsey County Welfare Department as a social worker.
She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she was active as an AWANA leader and Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are her husband Rev. John Steinhauser, whom she married August 4, 1956; three children Rachel (Rev. Dwight) Moore of Schenectady, NY, Jonathan (Cindy Olson) Steinhauser of Pittsburgh, PA and Rebecca Steinhauser of Defiance, OH; nine grandchildren Jonathan (Jennifer) Moore, Jeffrey, Lauren, Timothy, Andrew and Luke Moore, Kaitlyn, Joshua and Emily Steinhauser; four brothers Donald, Kenneth, Vernon and Harold Lovaas, all of Minnesota and a sister-in-law Lillian Wesley of San Diego, CA.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
