Obituary of Inez J. Ross

Inez J. Ross of Howard Street, Jamestown went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2011 from Heritage Village Skilled Nursing Home. A life long resident of Jamestown, she was born January 13, 1925 to the late Fritz and Eva Johnson. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she took great pleasure entertaining and surrounding herself with those she loved. She was an avid reader and gardener, who especially enjoyed creating Swedish dishes for her family. A graduate of Jamestown High School, Class of 1943, she actively planned and participated in many class events over the years. Inez was also a member of Christ First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eugene S. Ross, five children: Sandy Mallare (Mark) of Columbia MD, Deb Creasy (Don) of Lake Wales, FL, John Ross (Wendy) of Falconer, Barb Karr (Scott) of Boonsboro, MD and Jeff Ross (Kathi) of Fredonia, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her sister Regina Ellis (Robert) of Busti, and eight nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Bratt of Brewerton, NY, her niece, Karen Ross-Crossley of Jamestown, and her nephew, Randy Bratt of Liverpool, NY. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life Saturday, February 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Seeley Chapel of Schwab Manor at Heritage Village, Gerry, NY.
