Josie and family,
Although it has been many years since I left Jamestown, I was deeply saddened to learn of Tony's passing. I will be forever indebted to him for his support and guidance during my days in the Detective Bureau. He accomplished many things over the years and his efforts were a benefit to many people. May God give you strength during this difficult time.

Josie, I hope you know how special you and Tony both are to us.
To hear such news, made us wish the times we see one another were not so unfrequent. The wonderful thing was when we did get the opportunity to see you both, it seemed like only yesterday, the previous time had been.
You both made Chautauqua, The Rod & Gun so special to us.
We felt like we were just extended family.
Our love and sympathy goes out to you and your family.
We love you both,
Bonnie & Bruce

We are crushed to hear of Tony's passing. Friends since the early 50's with both Tony and Josie. Tremendous gentlemen for whom I had just a year ago ordered a card from the White House to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Tony fly with the angels because you earned the right with all your work on earth. Lakewood and the Lakewood Rod & Gun will need alot of help to fill your shoes.Peace be with you.

There are no words that we can express from our hearts that could tell you the sorrow we feel in the loss of our good friend Tony. Josie, you and Tony have been such great friends for so many years. We always looked forward to coming back to Jamestown in the summer to spend time with you both. It was a pleasure to serve on the board of the Rod &Gun with Tony for so many years. It will be a great loss for the club and village without him. We've enjoyed being included with your family and good friends . It's nice too be in Florida but when something
like this happens we feel bad we cannot be there to support all of you. Our deepest sympathy Josie, Sarah, Rosie and Carl. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Although I have not known Tony very long, in the time spent with him at our Mayors & Supervisors meetings in Lakewood I appreciated his ready whit, he welcoming hug and his willingness to share his experience and knowledge. The people of the Village of Lakewood and those of us who were fortunate enough to have known him from our work in Chautauqua County have lost a wonderful friend, colleage and mentor.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time of loss.

I knew Tony from the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Tony also came to the Salamanca Casino where I worked dealing cards. Tony loved playing and he was good at it, like everything else he put time into. He took care of the games at the gun club on Tuesday of every month and will sadly be missed by all.
Lakewood is a better place thanks to this wonderful man. May God continue to bless his family. RIP Tony, we love you!

It is my priviledge to light the first candle in honor of my Father, Tony Caprino. I was so lucky to have such a wonderful man for a Dad, smart, kind, funny, tough and gentle....so many other qualities wrapped into a rare human being indeed. While we always would like more time, I am so grateful to have him for 50+ years....what a ride!
My Dad.....My Hero, Teacher, Protector and Friend is now my Guardian Angel.
