Obituary of Michael J. Miley

Michael J. Miley, 51, of Westfield, NY formerly of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Friday (March 4, 2011) in his home. A lifelong area resident he was born August 13, 1959 in Jamestown, NY a son of Mary Tabone Miley and the late William G. Miley. He was a 1977 graduate of Jamestown High School and was employed for several years for the Carpenters Union Local 66. He will be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother and uncle who loved fishing and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time working around his home and caring for his dogs Bonesy and Abby. He also had a special talent as a woodworker and was an excellent carpenter. Surviving are his mother of Jamestown, his brother William G. (Lorraine) Miley, Jr. of Jamestown, two sisters Dawn Perry of Rochester, NY, Cynthia M. (David) Evans of Doylestown, PA, two nephews William G. (Katie) Miley, III of Jamestown, Philip (Michelle) Miley of Rochester, NY, two nieces Marlo Perry, Taylor Perry both of Jamestown and his great nephew Bennett Miley of Rochester, NY. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his beloved dogs Blue and Guy. A private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph Janaczek, pastor of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home.
