Obituary of Janice F. Brunenavs

Janice F. Brunenavs, 61, of 54 Dearborn St. passed away at 11:20 a.m. Saturday (March 5, 2011) in her home following an extended illness. A lifelong area resident she was born June 25, 1949 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late James and Evelyn Grisswald Nalbone. She was a 1967 graduate of Jamestown High School and attended Jamestown Community College and Fredonia State University. Before her retirement in 2009, she was employed as a technician in the pharmacy department of W.C.A. Hospital. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time caring for her boys and her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband James I. Brunenavs whom she married June 6, 1970, three son's Scott (Suzanne) Brunenavs of Dobbs Ferry, NY, Daniel (Anne) Brunenavs of Bemus Point, NY, Mark (Susan) Brunenavs of Irvington, NY, seven grandchildren Ryan, Madeline and Leo Brunenavs of Dobbs Ferry, Nicholas, Abigail and Ellen Brunenavs of Bemus Point and Owen Brunenavs of Irvington, and her brother James (JoCarol) Nalbone of Jamestown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Holy Apostles Parish at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
