Obituary of Dennis L. Carter

Dennis L. Carter, 65, formerly of 109 Cross Street, died Tuesday March 15, 2011, in heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. He was born February 11, 1946, in Bear Lake, PA, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Carter. He was employed as a school custodian in Columbus, PA and earlier had worked for Union City Chair and MFG, Union City, PA. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including God daughter Pamela S. Smith of Jamestown; great nieces and nephews including Carl R. Silsby; and his long time caregiver Mary Roberts. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Rita Morton who died September 1, 2006.
