Obituary of Doris R. Billgren

Doris R. Billgren, 82, of Ellicott Shore Apartments, Celoron, formerly of 2600 Busti-Stillwater Road, Jamestown, died Monday April 4, 2011 in the Frewsburg Rest Home. She was born February 27, 1929, in Alingsas, Sweden, a daughter of Ernest and Ruth Andersson Strom. She was a 1945 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by the Post Journal in the advertising department. She attended Celoron United Methodist Church. She loved traveling with her husband, was an avid reader and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. Surviving are three daughters Linda (Craig) Barmore of Dewittville, NY and Inverness, FL, Diane (Gary) Adams of Frewsburg and Lisa (John) Launer of Warren, PA, five grandchildren Rodney (Amy) Adams of Jamestown, Michelle (Scott) Eklund and Krystle (Eric) Haglund of Frewsburg, Kristi Marshall of Syracuse and Traci (Rob) Raynor of Dewittville and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul A. Billgren March 3, 2004 and a son Gary P. Billgren, January 2, 1970. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
