Obituary of Clarice E. Overbeck

Clarice E. "Clancy" Overbeck, 90, formerly of Southland Ave., Lakewood, died at 4:33 a.m. Monday (April 11, 2011) at the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of George "Smokey" Overbeck whom she married August 6, 1938 and who died February 28, 1968. A Jamestown native, she was born January 1, 1921, the daughter of the late Marvin and Pearl Nelson Waggoner. Clarice was a member of the Jamestown Moose Lodge. Surviving are three sons, Floyd Overbeck of Jamestown, Jack (Susan) Overbeck of Warren and Terry Overbeck of Myrtle Beach; (10) grandchildren, (21) great-grandchildren and (6) great great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin Waggoner of Warren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jimmy Overbeck. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
