Obituary of Jane E. Larson

Jane E. Larson, 97, formerly of 413 Superior St., Jamestown, died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday (May 14, 2011) at Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of Clarence L. Larson, whom she married August 28, 1935 and who died November 17, 1987. Jane was born January 28, 1914 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Bernard and Martha Rosenquist Johnson. She was confirmed at First Lutheran Church where she had been a member for many years. Surviving are four children: Nancy Nold, Marlene Hornstrom and Martha LaBarbera, all of Jamestown, and Charles R. (Maria) Larson of Scottsdale, AZ; nine grandchildren: Cynthia Duca, Charles Nold, Jon Nold, Kevin DeMarco, Denise Fuller, Laurie Harrington, Christine Larson, Charles Pollaro IV and John LaBarbera; 19 great-grandchildren and 20 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher DeMarco and granddaughter, Tina Hallett; two sisters, Helen Nelson and Marian Lager; and a brother, Raymond A. Johnson. The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Wednesday.
