Obituary of Eline Sanctuary

Eline J. Sanctuary, 91, passed away at her home in Columbus, Ohio on May 1, 2011. She was born and raised in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of Frank and Helga Jones. Eline was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 66 years, Robert H. Sanctuary (Colonel, USAF Ret.), who died March 11, 2009. Following retirement in 1972, Eline and Bob enjoyed their home in Montgomery, Alabama where Eline was an active member of the Jasmine Garden Club, the Retired Officers Wives Club and several bridge groups. Eline and Bob moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2006 to be near family. She is survived by a son, John (Carol) Sanctuary of Westerville, Ohio; a daughter, Patricia (David) LeMay of Delaware, Ohio; a brother, Richard M. (Marilyn) Jones of Jamestown; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
