Obituary of Robert L. Knapp

Robert L. "Bob" Knapp, 61, of 6569 Quilliam Road, Westfield, died peacefully at home Tuesday May 17, 2011, following a long illness. He was born March 12, 1950, in Brookville, PA, a son of Mary Lucas Knapp and the late Glenn Knapp. He graduated from Brookville High School in 1968. A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War he served from 1968-74. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Weber Knapp as a machine operator for 30 years. He was a member of American Legion Post in Mayville. He was a devoted and loving husband. He was fond of all animals especially his pets. Surviving besides his mother of Brookville, PA, are his wife the former Karen Conti, whom he married February 1, 1986; two brothers Glenn Knapp, Jr. of Ellenwood, GA and Ronald Knapp of Brookville and a sister Delila Pierce of Brookville. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
