Obituary of Beverly A. Ferrugia

Beverly A. Ferrugia, 72, of the Lutheran Retirement Home, formerly of 1619 W. Third Street, died Wednesday May 18, 2011 in WCA Hospital. A native of Dunkirk, she was born April 28, 1939, a daughter of Harold and Ruth Ruggles Goggin. She was a 1957 graduate of Fredonia High School and a 1960 graduate of Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed by Manor Oak Skill Nursing Facility as a registered nurse and earlier had worked for Heritage Park Nursing Home, WCA and Brooks Memorial Hospitals and local medical offices of Drs. Suh, Bambrah, Chander and Sinatra. She was a member of AARP and Red Hat Society. Beverly had a way of bringing joy and happiness to all of her family, friends and coworkers. They will all sadly miss her. Surviving are two sons David (Kelly) Ferrugia of Jamestown and Michael (Lisa) Ferrugia of Waxhaw, NC; a daughter Joelle Ferrugia of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren Anna and Isabelle Ferrugia of Waxhaw; a brother David Goggin of Jamestown and three half sisters Donna Drummond and Patricia Kraft of Dunkirk and Bonnie Dragon of Lakeland, FL. She was preceded in death by two sons Thomas Ferrugia and Dr. Timothy Ferrugia. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
