Obituary of Andrew G. Leff

Andrew Gordon Leff, 60, formerly of 32 Woodworth Ave Jamestown, died Thursday (May 19, 2011) in Tanglewood Manor. He was born April 2, 1951 in Jamestown the son of Mildred "Bobbie" Gordon Leff and the late Herbert Leff. Andrew was a 1969 graduate of Jamestown High School and a 1973 graduate of Clarkson University. For 22 years, he was employed at Honest John's and earlier at Marlin Rockwell Corp. He was a member of Temple Hesed Abraham. Andrew was a skilled photographer and was gifted with a considerably dry sense of humor. He is survived by his mother of Jamestown and his brother, Lawrence "Larry" Elliott Leff of Tempe, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father who died December 26, 1989. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rabbi Allen Podet will officiate. Burial will be in Beth-El Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Hesed Abraham, 215 Hall Ave, Jamestown, NY 14701; or Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmount Ave Lakewood, NY 14750; or to a charity of choice.
