Obituary of Gwendoline Raspin

Gwendoline Raspin, 89, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Jamestown, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Myrtle Beach Estates in South Carolina. Gwen was born October 23, 1921 in South Port, England, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homewood. She came to the United States in 1954. In Jamestown, she had been employed by the former Proto Tool Co. for 17 years, as well as former Art Metal Corp. for 17 years. Gwen loved life, enjoyed ballroom dancing and traveling with her husband. Surviving is a sister, a nephew and the Larry and Janet Rodgers Family who loved her as "Auntie" Gwen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Raspin, whom she married August 18, 1944 in South Port, England and who died here on March 28, 1999. A private service will be held. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.
