Obituary of Brian A. Colburn

Brian A. Colburn, 52, of 507 W. 4th St., died Friday, June 3, 2011 at his home. He was born August 21, 1958 in Jamestown, a son of Gail Dickerson Colburn and the late Harold V. Colburn. Brian attended Jamestown schools. He enjoyed helping others and volunteered at the Salvation Army in Jamestown. He did handy man and carpentry work and took pleasure in drawing. A kind hearted person, he will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. In addition to his mother of Jamestown, surviving are three sons, Jacob Colburn of Jamestown, Jessie Colburn, U.S. Marines stationed in North Carolina, and Jeremy Funk of Jamestown; a daughter, Mindy Ingalls of Jamestown; a sister, Sheryl (Jim) Triglia of Jamestown; six brothers, David "Rick" (Kim) Dickerson of Bemus Point, Harold (Linda) Colburn of Buffalo, and Bruce (Kathy) Colburn, John Colburn, Brad (June) Colburn and Monty Glover, all of Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Steven Colburn; and three children, Angel, Travis and Karrie Colburn. A memorial service and visitation will be held at a later date to be announced by the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 83 S. Main St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
