Obituary of Julia A. Gullotti

Julia A. Gullotti, 87, of 196 Barrett Ave. Jamestown, passed away at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday (June 7, 2011) in her home. A lifelong area resident she was born December 9, 1923 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Salvatore "Sam" and Angeline Restivo Auria. In earlier years she had worked as an office secretary for the former Scalise Construction Company and the former Art Metal, Inc. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Julia was a loving, selfless and caring mother who devoted her life to raising her family with special care and devotion given to her son who lived at home for 45 years. She cherished time spent with her grandsons and her great granddaughter and held a special bond with all of them. Surviving are a daughter Mary L. (Dana) Bergman, a son Samuel M. Gullotti, two grandsons Justin M. Main, Seth J. Bergman and a great granddaughter Julianna Grace Main all of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sebastian Gullotti whom she married April 27, 1957 and who died August 21, 2008, three brothers Samuel, Carl, Michael Auria and a sister Mary Auria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Hoy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led by Rev. Mende at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
