Obituary of Louis M Lacagno

Louis M. Lacagno, 88, of Emeritus at Lakewood, 220 Southwestern Dr. Lakewood, NY passed away at 11:02 p.m. Monday (May 30, 2011) in the Heritage Green Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born July 13, 1922 a son of the late Alfred and Thresa Damond Lacagno (Marengo). He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. Before his retirement, the City of Jamestown Board of Public Utilities employed him for many years. He later worked as a salesperson for the former Caprino's Furniture Store. Surviving are a brother Anthony Marengo of Oceanside, CA, three sisters Gloria Albano of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Dolores Clisti of Brooklyn, NY and Marie Leggio of Las Vegas, NV. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother's Michael J. Lacagno, John A. Lacagno, a nephew Ronald F. Lacagno and his wife Rena Lacagno. As per Mr. Lacagno's wishes his remains were donated to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. He will be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date. Louis will be remembered at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, Tuesday September 13, 2011 at Holy Apostles Parish at St. John Catholic Church, 270 Newton Ave. Jamestown, NY. Memorial donations may be made in Louis's name to the St. James Catholic Church, 27 Allen St. Jamestown, NY 14701 or to Holy Apostles Parish, 508 Cherry St. Jamestown, NY 14701.
