Obituary of Leona M. Flagg

Leona M. "Mimi" Flagg, 80, of Frewsburg Rest Home, died Saturday June 18, 2011, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born March 10, 1931, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late James L. and B. Leona Brainard Perrie. For several years she lived in Texas. While living in Jamestown she had various employment including Printz Company, Bigelow's Department Store, Jamestown Stamp Company and US Post Office. During her time in Texas she was active in the Civil Air Patrol and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Surviving are three children Bobbi (Mike) Ames of Jamestown, Timothy Watson of Ashville and Matt (Carolyn) Watson of Frewsburg; six grandchildren Carrie Tredo of Westfield, Randi Fitzgibbons of Sinclairville, Jessica Goodell of Bemus Point, Sonia Watson of Jamestown and Matthew "Buddy" Watson and Joshua Watson of Frewsburg, twelve great grandchildren; five step children Jerry Flagg, Steven Flagg, Andy Flagg, Shelley Burt and Jolene Cappano; eleven step grandchildren and a sister Marcella Beals of Newport News, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Flagg, whom she married November 23, 1972 and who died January 29, 1985, three brothers William and Robert Doud and James O. Perrie and a step grandson Travis Flagg. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
