Obituary of Mary Ann Litzinger

Mary Ann "Jinx" Litzinger, 76, of 3061 Girts Road, died at 7:21 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 in WCA Hospital. She was born September 21, 1934 in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Carl and Margaret Bratt Jensen. She was confirmed at First Lutheran Church and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1953. In earlier years, Mary Ann had been employed by the Hotel Jamestown and the Cake Shop and she retired from Lutheran Social Services as Assistant Director of Housekeeping. She enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, watching movies and planting her flowers. Surviving is her husband, Clair Litzinger whom she married October 5, 1953; three children, Sue (Dale) Melquist, Craig (Sandy Wright) Litzinger and Sheila (Butch) Hultin, all of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Todd (Leslie) Melquist and Scott Melquist of Jamestown, Justin Litzinger of Jamestown and Jeremy (Liz Clayton) Litzinger of Louisville, KY, and Kristen Hultin and Michael Hultin of Jamestown; five great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Graciella and Christopher Melquist, Gabrielle Hultin and Jaycee Traver; many nieces and nephews; and her granddog, Snoopy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Jensen and a sister, Delores Saddler. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
