Obituary of Dorothy E. Siverson
Miss Dorothy E. Siverson, 89, of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Hultquist Place, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday (July 19, 2011) in W.C.A. Hospital.
A lifelong area resident she was born December 2, 1921 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Ed and Anna Loberg Siverson.
She was a 1942 graduate of Jamestown High School.
Before her retirement in 1984, she was employed by the former Chautauqua Hardware Corporation for 19 years and in earlier years had worked for the former Field and Wright Company for 14 years.
Dorothy was a longtime member of the Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Warner Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women and the Dorcas Society.
Surviving are her nieces Sonya (Robert) Burkett of Jamestown, Nancy Lyon of Youngsville, PA, two great nieces Marta St. Augustine of Santa Fe, NM, Sarah Divina of Broomfield, CO, and a great great niece Sophia Montoya of Broomfield, CO
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert Siverson and three sisters Marie Siverson Johnson, Ruth Siverson and Edna Siverson Bore.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick LaDue, pastor of the Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
