Obituary of Peter Galati

Peter Galati, 82, of 237 Brier Circle, Jupiter, FL formerly of 359 Foote Ave. Jamestown, NY passed away on Sunday (July 24, 2011) in the St. Josephs Assisted Living Facility in Jupiter, FL. A Florida resident since 2004, he was born July 23, 1929 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Joseph and Anna LaRussa Galati. Before his retirement he was employed by the former Art Metal, Inc. where he worked for 25 years. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church in Jamestown and while living in Florida was a communicant of St. Peters Catholic Church, Jupiter, FL. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of almost 61 years the former Vincenza "Jenny" Oddo whom he married August 19, 1950 in Scillato, Sicily, a son Joseph P. (Maryann) Galati of Jamestown, NY, a daughter AnnMarie (Keith) Pallo of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, six grandchildren, Andrea Galati of Rochester, NY, Alexandra Pallo, Bianca Pallo, Olivia Pallo, all of Palm Beach Gardens, Lt. Jason Pallo, serving in the U.S. Air Force, Danielle Pallo of Santa Monica, CA, and a sister Pina Cantali of Jamestown, NY. He was preceded in death two brothers Samuel Galati, Joseph Galati and a sister Carmela Dombroski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell Duffy, pastor will be celebrant. Entombment will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.
