Obituary of Carolyn Johnson

Carolyn B. Johnson, 83, of 108 Hallock St. Jamestown, died Saturday July 30, 2011 in the home of her daughter in Cherry Creek. She was born June 10, 1928 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Frank K. and Edith Pearson Headd. For 40 years, Carolyn worked at the former Bigelow's Department Store. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and animals, especially cats. Surviving are her three children, Terry A. Johnson of Jamestown; Debra J. Fagerstrom (David) of Cherry Creek; Timothy A. Johnson (Karen Jackson) of Jamestown; three grandchildren, Shaune A. Johnson of Moundsville, WV; Stacia A. Johnson of Wheeling, WV; Nicole L. Johnson of Jamestown; six great grandchildren; a brother, Franklin "Bud" Headd of Pompano Beach. FL; and a sister, Jean (Richard) Kessler of Cameron, MO. She was preceded in death by her father in 1997, her mother in 2000, and her sister in law, JoAnn S. Headd in 1997. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. John P. Saraka, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday in the funeral home.
