Obituary of Pamela Rodriguez
Pamela Rodriguez, 57, of 311 Palmer Street, died Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Pam was born January 26, 1954, in Brooklyn, NY, to Victor A. and Consuelo Rodriguez. She resided most of her life in Jamestown. She lived in Stewart, FL, for five years in her twenties before she returned back to Jamestown to live.
She attended C. C. Ring Elementary School, Washington Jr. High School, and Jamestown H.S.
She attended Jamestown Community College where she regularly made the Dean's List. She graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia in elementary education and received her Master's Degree in Special Education at Edinboro University. As part of her SUNY education, she studied abroad in London.
She was employed by the Jamestown Public School System as an elementary school teacher at C.C. Ring School.
She was a member for many years of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club.
Pam enjoyed remodeling homes and doing home projects with her husband Brian. One of her favorite television shows was "Do It Yourself". She loved to travel, visit her friends and family across the country, she loved to cook especially big meals for the holidays. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She had a special gift of interacting with all children.
Surviving are her husband Brian Gane, whom she married April 9, 2006, two children Kiamesha Ramsey-Degnan and Dana Ramsey, Jr., both of Jamestown: grandchildren Cameron Kelly Degnan, Alicia Shay Ramsey and Mia Cade Ramsey; two step children Amy Gane of Tampa, FL, and Bruce Gane of Fernly, NV; three step grandchildren Blake, Anna and Bryce Gane, three sisters Carol Lowenthal of Redondo Beach, CA, Joyce Deshaye of Olympia, WA, and Robin Rodriguez of Port St. Lucie, FL; and her nieces and nephews, Amie Havens, of Baltimore, MD, Anni Copeland of Buffalo, NY, Jeremiah Lowenthal of Redondo Beach, CA, and Diana and Maria Deshaye, both of Olympia, WA.
Besides her parents. she was preceded in death by her brother Victor A. Rodriguez, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, in the Lind Funeral Home.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home.
A reception to celebrate Pam's life will be held from 11-3 p.m., Friday, at the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club.

Before leaving for the Cleveland Clinic Pam wrote on a chalkboard in her home, "Have a great day!! Share a smile. ( Always love your family!!!"
