When I read your Dad's obituary it brought back many fond memories of the Jamestown Fire Department. He probably worked with my Dad until he passed away in 1962. We had so much to be proud of. I know you will miss him. My thought and prayers are with all of you.

I remember my uncle as a strong, humble man who loved his family and the outdoors. As kids, he taught us to fish on Chautauqua Lake. Many years later, he'd cook us the best walleye and Thanksgiving goose we'd ever tasted. My thoughts and prayers today are with Lynn and Jon; your dad was indeed very special.

Jon and Lindsay sorry to hear about your dads passing. I rQOPUemember when your family would go to the cottage in Shore Acres in Bemus. Our parents and Dottie and Bob would get together, always a fun time. In later years I would see your dad at the War Vets we would chat. RIP Burt

Burt was a very special person to our family . He worked, fished and went hunting with my Dad(Fred). He always had a big smile on his face, and told great stories. My sympathy to Jon and Lindsay, and their families. He will be fondly remembered by all of us that knew him and loved him.

I had the pleasure of working with Burt in the late 80's at Sunset Hill Cemetery. I will always remember in the late fall when he would "double dip", hunt turkeys in the morning and fish for walleye in the afternoon.

Our sincere sympathy to the family. Randy and I only knew Burt a few short years as our neighbor, but what a pleasure it was to get that opportunity. He was full of life and always busy puttering with something. His smile could light up a room! We will truly miss him.
"Hugs to You Burt"
