Obituary of Francis B. Pangborn
Francis B. Pangborn, 75, of the Hotel Jamestown, 110 West Third St. Jamestown, passed away at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday (August 17, 2011) in W.C.A. Hospital.
A lifelong area resident he was born July 31, 1936 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late Francis and Loretta Dominey Pangborn.
Francis was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from February 25, 1954 to February 21, 1957. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves until February 24, 1962.
Before his retirement he was a Supervisor at the Resource Center for 15 years. In earlier years he was a truck driver for Allied Transportation and Berenfield Containers in Clarendon, PA, as well as several other trucking companions in the area.
While living in the Warren, PA area he was a member of the Star Brick Volunteer Fire Department and the Fire Police. He was also a floor captain at the Hotel Jamestown Apartments.
Surviving are his wife the former Victoria A. Tremblay, seven children Shane Pangborn, Debra Hunt, Kimberly Harrington, Gordon Pangborn, Darrin Pangborn, Vicky Tracy all of Jamestown, and Julie Worsham of FL. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and a brother Harold Pangborn of Frewsburg.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Warren County
