Lorne,
I remember your dad (and mom) with fondness. We had some good times growing up next to each other and your parents were always welcoming. I know that he and my dad were very good friends. Dad died in February of 2010. Hope you are your family are well. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ramsey was leader, teacher and friend on the Ski Patrol for years of happy skiing.
Right up to the closing sweep he made everything a pleasant time for patrollers as well as the skiers.

You will be greatly missed by your family and friends Mr. Riddell. You and Mrs. Riddell were always so kind to me when Nancy and became best friends after I moved to Panama all those long years ago. The fun trips doing things I never would have gotten to do, skiing at the Peak, and so much more are all wonderful memories I will cherish always. Peace and God Speed Mr. Riddell.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the Riddell family for your loss. I came to know Ramsay in the late 60's and early 70's when we both worked for the Erie-Lackawanna RR. Our paths would cross most often at the Niobe Jct. signal tower. I always looked forward to our conversations which were never long enough. I didn't see Ramsay again on the RR as I relocated to Ohio. Then, in the late 70's, my wife Terry and I would travel each week to Peek'n Peak to ski with her family as her father, Howard Gane, was on the ski patrol. Needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised to see Ramsay there. We continued to ski at the "Peak" through the early 80's and seeing Ramsay always made the experience more enjoyable. I live in the Pacific NW and last saw Ramsay in Jan. 2004 but I often recall cherished memories of good friends and loved ones and I will think often of Ramsay with fondest regards.

Uncle Ram - You will be very dearly missed. Your sense of humour was one of a kind. It was wonderful seeing you at the lake a few weeks ago and I'm so glad you got to spend some time with your brother, John, my dear dad. You will always be in our thoughts - Sleepy, sleepy, Uncle Ram, sleepy, sleepy. Much Love Jill Riddell Brown & Peter Brown
