Obituary of Edwin Keller

Edwin Keller, 91, of 4256 Northrop Road, died Monday August 29, 2011, in UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie. A native of Jamestown, he was born March 2, 1920, a son of the late John and Ethel Folk Keller. He attended Chautauqua High School and was employed by Dahlstrom Manufacturing in the maintenance department. He was a member of First Church of God, Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers, Lamplighters and AARP. Surviving are his wife the former Eivor Thelander, whom he married March 26, 1982; three children David (Edna) Keller of Sugar Grove, PA, Donald (Gail) Keller of Tryon, NC and Laura Deck of Rutherfordton, NC; 9 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and a sister Ruth Rink of Mayville. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother William Keller and two grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Church of God. Rev. Dr. Stanley Weisbrod will officiate. Burial will be in Busti Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
