Obituary of Beverly J. Keyes

Beverly J. Keyes, 78, of 11 High Street W.E., died Saturday September 3, 2011, in WCA Hospital. A Jamestown native, she was born August 13, 1933, a daughter of the late Harold and Winona Hauenstein Knorr. She was a 1951 graduate of Jamestown High School. She was employed by the former Jamestown Telephone Company in the accounting department and had also been a sales representative for Avon and Tupperware. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and its mission trip to The Gambia in 1987. Her other memberships include Jamestown Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed camping and was a Girl Scout leader in earlier years. Surviving are her husband Richard Keyes, whom she married April 1, 1956; three daughters Kimberly Brown of Kane, PA, Pamela (Jeffrey) Curtis of Panama and Wendy (Burnett) Bartley of Pittsburgh, PA and four grandchildren Timothy Vogler of Pittsburgh, Kevin Brown of Kane, PA, Lucas Curtis and Joshua Curtis, both of Panama. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday in the Lind funeral home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church, Hunt Rd. Rev. James Read will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W.
