Obituary of Gertrude M. Stenstrom

Gertrude M. Stenstrom, 86, of Tanglewood Manor, went home to be with her Lord, her husband and two sons Saturday September 10, 2011 in WCA Hospital. She was born March 2, 1925, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Ross and Ethel Sherman Fisher. She was a 1944 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a member of First Lutheran Church, Moose Lodge, VFW Auxiliary and Cooties. Surviving are three children Karen (Gerald) Peru, Ronald Stenstrom and Roger Stenstrom, all of Jamestown; two grandchildren Kristine Thomas of Erie and Gerald Peru, Jr. of Jamestown and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Stenstrom, whom she married April 3, 1945 and who died October 21, 1995 and two sons David Stenstrom and James Stenstrom. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Chapel of First Lutheran Church. Rev. Daniel K. Nagle will officiate. Inurnment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
