Sherwood, you were and still are one of the dearest friends our family had. I will miss our Thursday chats (18 + years without fail). No matter what the subject you had an opinion and were well-informed. Thank you for helping me get over my fear of the "monkeys" as a child, for cutting out the Easter bunny feet and pasting them all over the house the night before Easter, for always making sure I wore the latest fashions, and for every beautiful Christmas ornament (over 40 years) but most of all for being my friend. I miss you terribly. Love you, Susie

I met Sherwood in late October of 2009. I was at his home to install grab bars in his shower. He sat and visited with me while I did my work. I stayed for a couple more hours just because his conversation was so interesting. I’m very sorry to say I only returned once, to share some Tim Horton’s coffee with him (double/double). That was another long visit filled with conversation of the many subjects Sherwood was passionate about. This morning, I stumbled over an old note he had sent me on March 10th, 2010. Just tried to call, and found the line disconnected. I don’t know how my wife & I missed the announcement in the Post Journal. Seeing him again would be have been a joy. Sherwood, You were a bright spot during some fairly dark days in my life. Things are good now and it would have been grand to see you again. Your friend, Bill Pearson

Wow! Sherwood is certainly not one to be forgotten. Ever!!! I worked with him at Bigelow's as did my mother (who is dancing with him now) I learned so much from him. Sherwood, we now know your age... May you rest in peace and dance forever.

I remember Sherwood the most with the years we worked together at Bigelows. He was a guiding light in my early yrs of retail. He was loved by all at the store and had customers galore. He was a landmark to Bigelows. Thank you for your style and quidance.

I met Sherwood years ago when I was a kid. I used to work on his car when he worked at Bigelows. He was always such a nice gentleman. For years afterwards whenever I'd see him out he'd remember me by name and we'd talk for a while to catch up. He just had a way about him that brightened your day each time you saw him. I'm sorry to hear of his passing because the world is a little darker having lost another kind person in Sherwood. He may have had a great sense of dressing in style, but I think that was just because he was a classy guy in all his ways.

We have lost another WWII US Army Veteran. We do thank you for serving and coming back safe. You are probably the last of the generation of your Mom's Heritage - the Bradley girls.
