Obituary of Lucille L. Shannon

Lucille L. Shannon, 95, of West Ellicott passed away at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday (October 12, 2011) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong area resident she was born June 16, 1916 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Leon L. and Florence Moffitt Ingerson. She was a 1935 graduate of the former Celoron High School. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who cared for her family and friends and also her cats. Surviving are a daughter Nancy L.(Richard) Fischer of Lakewood, NY, a son Roger P. (Nancy) Shannon of West Ellicott, three grandchildren Ryan R. (Alexandra Wellman) Fischer of Salem, OR, Jane E. Fischer of Fredonia, NY, Todd P. Shannon of West Ellicott, two great grandchildren Eloise Fischer, Quinlan Fischer both of Salem, OR. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul N. Shannon who died December 2, 1989, and an infant daughter Sandra Louise Shannon. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
