Obituary of Leanna L. Penhollow

Leanna L. Penhollow, 80, formerly of 424 Winsor St. and 110 W. Third St. in Jamestown, died at 4:20 a.m. Monday (October 17, 2011) in WCA Hospital. An area resident for almost 40 years, she was born July 28, 1931 in Sergeant, PA, a daughter of the late Paul and Leota Smith McMahon. She had attended Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Leanna is survived by a brother, Roger McMahon of Sergeant, PA and five sisters, Naomi Vaughn of Sergeant, Blanche (Ted) Jay of Bradford, PA, Rose (Frank) Apache of Valley Grove, WV, Cecelia (Robert) Peterson of E. Kane, PA and Betty (Robert) Kribbs of Kane, PA; six children: Linda (Ron) Libengood of Bradford, and Irvin (Nellie) Penhollow, Jr., Rick (Ruby) Penhollow, Lisa (Mike) Glover, Mike (Orpha) Penhollow and Diedra (Mike) Freeman, all of Jamestown; 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Lloyd. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Todd Remick will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
