Obituary of Anna B. Gregor
Anna B. Gregor 102 of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center died October 26, 2011 following a brief illness.
She was born January 11, 1909 in Corry PA, the daughter of Ines and Harris Watrous. She married John P. Gregor on December 6, 1928 and moved to Jamestown.
Mrs. Gregor was employed at Crescent Tool and later worked with her husband as bookkeeper for Mal's and Johnnie's Auto Repair.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Bemus and in later years St. Peter and Paul's, Jamestown remaining a long time member of Catholic Daughters. She was also an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Bemus.
She crocheted and knitted items for R.S.V.P for many years enjoying sharing her talents with recipients of the items she made. Her passion and love of gardening especially roses, and her love of the color purple was well known to everyone.
Surviving are a Daughter Diane (Jim) Lucey of Bemus Point. Son Dennis (Holly) Gregor of Bonita Springs, FL, and Sister Charlotte (Fred) Clark of Corry, PA. Also surviving are nine Grandchildren. Mark (Janet) Gregor of Rochester, NY, David (Kim) Gregor of Wilmington, DE, Cheryl (Douglas) Gustafson of Bemus Point, NY, Patricia (Steve) Pembridge of Placitas, NM, Michelle (John) Novotny of Bemus Point, NY, Christine Lucey of West Seneca , NY, Kelli Wilds of Wrentham, MA., Kim (Steve) Sheffieck of Milwaukee, WI., and 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Gregor who died March 20, 1982, her son Jack P. Gregor Jr. who died August 5, 1990, sister's Ida Christenson, Shirley Carlson, brother's Lyle and Robert Watrous. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Saturday October 29, 2011 at St. Mary of Lourdes Church in Bemus Point, NY. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 pm October 28, 2011 at the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4pm.
