Obituary of Edna Jean Kelly

After many prayers, Edna Jean Kelly, 84, of 1238 Ivory Rd. Frewsburg, NY went into the arms of her loving God at 4:25 P.M. Monday (November 7, 2011) in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. An area resident since 1951, she was born February 11, 1927 in Bear Run, PA a daughter of the late Vincent Clair and Cora Violet Huey Hauck. In earlier years she had worked for the former Standard Portable Cord Company and the Proto Tool Company. She was a devoted member of the Busti Church of God where she was active with the Lamplighters Group. She loved her church family and over the years has served as a greeter, communion preparer and loved to cook and bake for the shut-ins and ill members of the church. She also loved traveling across the country in the motor home with her husband and extended family. Surviving are her husband of almost 62 years, Joseph E. Kelly whom she married November 26, 1949, a sister Martha May Hauck of the Westbury Apartments, Meadville, PA and several nieces and nephews with whom she pleasured babysitting while they were growing up. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Walter C. Hauck, Harry L. Hauck and four sisters Mary E. Mills, Ermina M. Weaver, Ruth N. Smith and Freda A. Weikel. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Busti Church of God. The Rev. Roy E. Ferguson, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday.
