Obituary of Janice M. Pratt

Janice M. Pratt, 77, formerly of 2109 Southwestern Dr. and 3 Gerald Ave. in Lakewood, died at 8:35 a.m. Saturday (November 19, 2011) ay Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the widow of Charles E. Pratt, Sr., whom she married November 15, 1952 and who died June 12, 1995. Janice was born September 16, 1934 in Frewsburg, NY, a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Wilson Schilling, and graduated from Falconer High School. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Jamestown West Congregation. Janice was a wife, mother, grandmother and special friend to many and loved by all. She was always loving and available to everyone. Surviving is a daughter, Susan M. Alger of Jamestown and three sons, Charles E. Pratt, Jr. of Lakewood, Donald R. Pratt of Ashville and Ronald E. Pratt of Falconer; 14 grandchildren: Amy-Sue Zickgraf, Germyn E. Alger, Charity Ann Hardin, Daniel Ryan Alger, Joshua Walsh, Julie Ann Pratt Snow, Charles E. Pratt III, Justin D. Pratt, Matthew C. Pratt, Thomas J. Pratt, Naykeytha Pratt Kline, Elsie Pratt, Roni Pratt and Audrey Pratt; 38 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Robbins of Florida. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Eddie Alger, Jr. and brother, Robert Schilling. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Jehovah's Witness West Congregation Kingdom Hall at 3454 Baker St. Ext., Jamestown. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Jehovah's Witness West Congregation; or to the animal shelter charity of choice.
