Obituary of Lucrezia Anzideo

Lucrezia "Lou" Tomassini Anzideo, 91, died at 11:25 p.m. Thursday (December 8, 2011) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born March 29, 1920 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Edmondo and Gelsomina Tomassini. Lou was a 1938 graduate of Jamestown High School and received her Associates in Arts degree from Jamestown Community College. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and from 1982 to 1987, worked at the Post Journal. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Anzideo (Michael Flaxman); Jeanne Anderson (Richard); two grandsons, Eric Anderson (Marygrace); Ian Anderson; four great grandchildren, Beck, Jacob, Olivia, and Claire; a brother, Jeff Tomassini; two nephews, Edmond and Raymond Tomassini; and a niece, Juanita Walter, all of Jamestown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo J. Anzideo whom she married September 21, 1940 and who died August 11, 2000; and a grandson, John Leif Anderson. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrell Duffy, pastor of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
