Obituary of Judy E. Lefebvre
Judy E. Lefebvre, 71, of 102 Lakeside Blvd. WE, formerly of 28 Lakeview Ave., Lakewood, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in her home.
She was born May 20, 1940 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Dorothy Young Burnett, and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1958.
Judy had been employed in the cafeterias of the former Celoron Elementary School and later the Lincoln Elementary School in Jamestown.
A member of Celoron United Methodist Church, she also belonged to the Harmony Senior Citizens, Celoron Senior Citizens and the Herman Kent Post American Legion Auxiliary.
Judy enjoyed keeping track of and caring for her family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, George A. (Pamela) Lefebvre of Celoron and Scott A. Lefebvre of McLean, VA; two granddaughters, Darla Lefebvre, Lillian "Lilly" Lefebvre and a great-granddaughter, Avery Lefebvre, all of Celoron; a brother, David (Nancy) Burnett of Ashville, NY; and a great-aunt, Lillian Fosburg Ward of Jamestown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Lefebvre whom she married November 21, 1964 and who died March 1, 2008.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Heather Allport-Cohoon will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Following the funeral service Saturday, a reception will be held at the Celoron United Methodist Church in Celoron.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
