Obituary of Mary A. Maczaczyj

Mary A. Maczaczyj, 72, of 3137 N. Main St. Ext., died Sunday, December 18, 2011 in WCA Hospital. She was born November 8, 1939 in Allens Mills, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Florence Shick Dempsey. Mary had, together with her husband, owned and operated the Red Barn Restaurants in Jamestown and Dunkirk from 1972 until 1984. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Maczaczyj, whom she married June 6, 1958 in Reynoldsville, PA; three children: Steven (Dawn Rafferty) Maczaczyj of Jamestown, Lori S. (Peter) Cummings of Cassadaga and Dennis Maczaczyj of Jamestown; four grandchildren, Alison, Amber and Dillon Maczaczyj and Courtney Cummings; and two sisters, Shirley Reed and Boots Coffman. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Ray Donohue will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
