Obituary of Mary C. Orlando

Mary C. Orlando, 88, formerly of Jamestown died Thursday December 29, 2011, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. She was born January 3, 1923, in Corry, PA, a daughter of Elmer and Mable Deming Bigelow. She was a WWII veteran of the US Navy serving from 1943-45. She was employed by the Post Journal in the mailroom. She was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church and the Eagles Club. Surviving are three children Steven Kiendl of Ellington, Timothy (Jackie) Kiendl of Phoenix, AZ and Cynthia Henry of Jamestown; five grandchildren Michael, Aaron and David Kiendl and Matthew and Michelle Harrison; several great grandchildren; a sister Betty Houghwot of Jamestown and best friend Gloria Johnson of Jamestown. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Orlando who died May 5, 1982; six brothers Benjamin, Charles, Buster, Burton, Francis and John David Bigelow and two sisters Ruth Farren and Florence Mawhir.
