Obituary of Twila L. Fisher

Twila L. Fisher, 83, of 349 Howard Ave. WE, died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in her home. An area resident most of her life, she was born November 10, 1928 in Woodland, PA, a daughter of the late Ray and Elsie Moore Turner. She had been employed by the Bausch & Lomb Co. in Jamestown for 10 years and earlier by the former Zayre Department Store in Lakewood. Twila had belonged to the Phillipsburg (Pa.) Senior Center for several years. She is survived by a son, Edward Fisher of Evansville, IN; two daughters, Sharon (Gerald) Reed of Jamestown and Donna Fredrickson of West Ellicott; six grandchildren: Jason and Jarrett Reed of Jamestown, Deanna McLain of Kennedy, Julie (Peter) Morrison of Sugar Grove, PA, Nathan Fisher of Florida and David Fisher of South Carolina; several great-grandchildren, including Madelyn, Leah and Lane Morrison, Fisher Reed and Kylen Faulkner; and sister, Margaret Smeal of Woodland, PA. Twila was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fisher, who died September 11, 2001; a son, Gary Fisher; a sister, Iona English; and four brothers, Robert, Blair, Franklin and Raymond Turner. "Grandma Fishy" will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren. A private family memorial service will be held, with the Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt officiating. Friends will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 W.
