Obituary of Brenda G. Terry

Brenda Gail Terry, 49, of 211 Price St. passed away unexpectedly at 9:09 p.m. Monday (January 2, 2012) in her home. A lifelong area resident she was born September 19, 1962 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of George G. and Ethel V. Abrams Gustafson. Brenda was a 1980 graduate of Jamestown High School and had been a member of the Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church. She had previously been employed as a program assistant for W.C.A. Hospital and by John David Hair Salon, where she will be remembered as a gentle and good natured friend. Brenda was a meek and generous person with a touch of her father's sense of humor. She spent her life making people comfortable in whatever way she could. She was a wonderful homemaker and made a home wherever she was and her friends were part of her family. She enjoyed the simple things in life and was a child at heart. Surviving are her mother of Jamestown, a daughter Kristen Terry, a son Nicholas Terry (fiance Amie Rykaczewski) both of Jamestown, a brother G. Jeffrey (April) Gustafson of Lakewood, a sister Rebecca Whitman (fiance Wayne Whitman) of Jamestown, her niece and nephews Hunter and Erika Gustafson, Brett Caden Scarem as well as several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her father who died July 3, 2009 and her paternal grandparents Harry and Irene Gustafson. The funeral will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Ned Lindstrom will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the W.C.A.
