Obituary of Frances A. Nagel

Frances Triscari Anzalone Nagel, 94, formerly of 8 Crane Street Jamestown, died Tuesday January 3, 2012 in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 10, 1917 in Jamestown the daughter of Joseph and Bessie Parsalitti Triscari. Frances was a graduate of Jamestown High School and in earlier years was employed at National Worsted Mills. Later, she married and resided in Jamestown with her first husband of 37 years, Samuel F. Anzalone Sr., and family, working as a bank associate for Marine Midland Bank until 1981. Later she moved to Dayton, OH where she retired with her second husband of 23 years, Herbert L. Nagel. Frances was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and most important, time with family. Surviving are a son, Samuel F. Anzalone (late Karen S.) of Panama, NY; two daughters, Vange M. Kervin; Marilyn L. Olds (late James A.) both of Jamestown, NY; five grandchildren, Lisa M. Kervin-Babeaux (Christopher) of Columbus, OH; Brenda M. Olds of Jamestown, NY; James B. Olds (Jill) of Monroeville, PA; Angela M. Swartzman (Chad) of Frewsburg, NY; Anthony Anzalone of Jamestown, NY; many great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Leone of Jamestown, NY; a daughter in law, Peg Anzalone of Jamestown, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1976; her second husband in 2004; two sons, Charles J. Anzalone in 1964; Louis S. Anzalone in 2010; five sisters, Bessie Guiffreda, Rose Russo, Lena Triscari, Josephine Vella, Angeline Foti, and two brothers, Joseph and Sebastian Triscari. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
