Obituary of Inez A. Cooper
Inez A. Cooper, 97, formerly of 2833 Hooker Road, Sinclairville, died Saturday January 14, 2012, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
She was born September 17, 1914, in Red House, NY, a daughter of the late Warren and Ethel Snyder Wright.
She was a graduate of Randolph Central School and had worked for Gowanda State Hospital as an aide prior to her retirement.
She had been active in the Frewsburg Home Bureau and Frewsburg Senior Citizens in earlier years and had also volunteered at the Kennedy Free Library and WCA Hospital.
She enjoyed making crafts and sharing them with her family.
Surviving are three children Sue Oakes of Sinclairville, Kay (Mel) Conklin of South Dayton and Bruce (Darlene) Cooper of Erie, PA; 13 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Deland Cooper, whom she married September 25, 1937 and who died September 1969; two sons David and Gary Cooper and three sisters Arlene Miller, Avis Straub and Evelyn Burnside.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Pastor Kevin Oakes, Inez's grandson, will officiate.
Burial will be in Rutledge Rural Cemetery, Conewango.
Visitation will not be observed.
