Obituary of Henry M. Miller

Henry M. "Hank" Miller, 88, formerly of Frewsburg and Blasdell, NY, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Absolut Care of Westfield. He was born January 27, 1924 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Christopher and Florence Gammel Miller. Hank retired from General Motors (Saginaw) after 49 years. Hank also worked for the railroad during the '40s. He enjoyed reading and stamp collecting as well as his participation in Frewsburg bowling leagues over the years. Hank was particularly fond of time spent at his farm in Sinclairville that he owned for several decades. Hank was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Robinson Miller whom he married June 17, 1978 and who died January 29, 2003 and a brother, Melvin H. Miller (late Violet). Surviving are three step-children: Steven D. (Lucy) Pearson of Jamestown, Susan M. (Frank) Nalepa of Fredonia and William J. (Amy) Pearson of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Douglas Pearson (Linda), Ashley Ribaudo (James), Renee Joy, Anita Redman, Alec Pearson and Brittany Pearson; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Macaluso (late Joseph) and brother, Russell G. Miller, both of Maryland; and nephew, Melvin T. (Kathy) Miller and their children Elizabeth, Shawn and Jeremy of Amherst. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Mayville Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
