Janice was my roommate at Heritage Park when I was there to recover from my hip replacement. I enjoyed her company and getting to know her family. She always enjoyed it when anyone came to visit. She also enjoyed the four legged visitors that stopped by. My thoughts and prayers are with Hap, Linda, Leslie and family. May you find peace in your good memories of Janice. May God bless you all!

Remember many a day as a student at JCC visiting with Jan. My dad ( Koch) would not be in his office and Jan would wave me into the main office to visit. I continued to visit until my Dad's retirement. Dad (Koch) and I visited her in the continuing care facility before he moved to Canandaigua a little less than 2 years ago. They did some
great reminiscing about JCC. A great lady.

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. I am honored that I got to know your mother. I remember when she and Hap visited New Jersey and also when I visited Jamestown with you. "Going out to dinner" was definitely the highlight! She was strong, funny, and a brilliant burst of light that will never go out! My prayers are with you, Hap, and the rest of your family. Rest in peace, Jan. Marie Engle

I am so sorry for your loss. Janice was a lovely lady whom I had the pleasure of meeting by working at Heritage Park. I would transport Janice to her hair appointments and enjoyed her company. She always was very kind and had a smile to share. I also enjoyed her sense of humor. She will be missed.

I didn't know Janice, but I certainly know her fun loving daughter, Linda. When we met at a JCC jazz concert she introduced me to Hap and I then learned of his WJTN career. My thoughts and prayers are with Linda at this difficult time as I know she made many a trip to Jamestown from NJ to be with her mother and to help Hap. God Bless.

I have many memories of Janice's smiling face when I think of my grandma Betty Tuller. They shared a meal table at Heritage Park. Janice looked forward to visits from her daughters, whom I am glad to have had the opportunity to meet. Linda and Leslie thank you for the encouraging words and friendly gestures. Words, however kind, can't mend your heartache, but those who care and share your loss with you, pray and hope for your comfort and peace of mind.

It is always sad to read that another class-mate has passed on. I remember her daughter came to our class reunion (2010) with pictures of Janice (her Mom). Janice was ill so the daughter took her place and had lovely pictures of her Mom. I thought it was a beautiful gesture and I enjoyed our conversation. She was standing at one end of the bar with pictures to show, and I caught up with her as I was walking past to seek other class-mates. I remember it so well and I feel fortunate to have this memory of exchanging words about her Mom and seeing the pictures. I live in Georgia so have missed seeing class-mates very often. May God Bless the family. Peggy

As a child, I remember Jan and Hap's wedding, perhaps the first wedding I had ever attended, but now as an adult, I remember them always together and happy. My condolences to Hap for the loss of his partner, but the memory of Jan's good nature evidenced by her broad smile and her unique laugh will linger on.
